STUDENTS' EXPERIENCE REGARDING E-LEARNING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT JOUF UNIVERSITY, SAUDI ARABIA KINGDOM
Abstract
Objectives: To explore the students’ experience regarding E-learning during the Covid-19
pandemic in Saudi Arabia through: Assess students’ attitude toward the benefits of E-learning
and Specify students’ problem during E-learning.Methods: The study was conducted at Jouf University which follows the ministry of education
and it includes male and female campus with all specialties. A convenience sample of (475)
students were involved in the study. A self-administered questionnaire was obtained through
online survey method after translated to Arabic language, it contains three parts (Demographic
characteristics, Attitude towards benefits of E-learning and problems occurred throughout Elearning). A Cross sectional descriptive design was conducted at Jouf University
Results: The present study revealed that grade level and faculty had high positive predictor
effect on attitude toward benefits of E-learning at p value <0.01. While, age had positive
predictor effect on attitude toward benefits of E-learning at p value <0.05. Meanwhile, total
problem had high negative predictor effect on attitude toward benefits of E-learning at p value
<0.01.
Conclusion :To conclude, the present study that more than half of studied subjects had a
positive attitude toward benefits of E-learning, while more than one third of them had negative
attitude. A half of studied students at Jouf University had low problem, less than one third had
moderate problem while, only one fifth of them had high problem during E-learning cause by
weak internet connection , unsuitable place of studying online charatized by crowded home as
well as lack of face to face communication.
